KARACHI: Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi chairperson, Afaq Ahmed, pleaded to the court to direct the government to remove his name from the Exit Control List on Tuesday.

Filing a miscellaneous application, Ahmed said that the previous Pakistan Peoples Party-led government had put restrictions on him from travelling abroad to appease its coalition partner, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.

“Now that an impartial government has been formed, it may be directed to delete my name from the ECL,” he said, seeking a direction for the new federal government in his plea.
