Fashion designer Shehla Chatoor dazzles in pretty much whatever she wears. She is known for her lean and toned body, her gorgeous hair and her impeccable taste in fashion. We love Shehla’s bold and funky designs. But it’s not just her work that we’re crushing on, it’s her style!
Be it a fashion show, promotional event or a party, Shehla is always dressed to impress leaving all the women jealous and all the men swooning over her. Her style philosophy is simple: sophisticated, elegant and glamorous.
Shehla’s favourite brands include Donna Karan and Peter Pilotto’s printed numbers while locally, she admits she loves her own fashion line.
“Nothing beats a great pair of fitted jeans — you can dress it up or dress it down. Enhance your look with loads of accessories or make it completely effortless with a regular T-shirt,” she says about her simple yet funky style mantra.
The designer feels that women shouldn’t follow trends blindly. “Choose outfits that suit you — keep in mind your skin colour, body shape, your lifestyle and what occasion you are heading to,” she explains. “Find out what colours work best for you and are flattering. I see women with heavy thighs wearing fitted lycra tights and churidars just because they are in fashion — don’t stick to trends, have your own personal style.”
