Speaking on a point of order, PTI deputy parliamentary leader Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar should respond as to why the parliament was being undermined by officials of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
He asked how the FBR was taxing people with increased General Sales Tax (GST) since the finance bill had not been passed by parliament.
Qureshi later staged a token walkout from the house along with the other PTI legislators.
Lawmakers of JI also staged a walkout from the house against what they referred to as the withdrawal of the relief package for the people of Malakand division.
Sahibzada Tariqullah of JI said that the relief package for the people of Malakand had been withdrawn by the federal government, which he said his party would oppose.
He then announced a token walkout to protest against the government's decision.
Lawmakers of both parties later returned to the house.

PMLN has walked out more than once during the previous term. It was a token walk out by which parties walk out and then come back after a few minutes. symbolic protest registered. After that they get back to work.
@Amir: It took them 17 years to gain a presence in the National Assembly, another 17 to make mature and substantial contribution to the proceedings of NA.
These twins should have a majlis-e-shura with the TALIBANS. It was wise of people not to vote for PTI
And I thought PTI was in favour of more people paying taxes.
Apparently, they were not telling the truth.
@ Ali S. The entire point of the walk out was that budget is being implemented even before being argued/passed by the parliament. How can they argue over not letting the argument
@ Tahir. So what, their congress doesnt choose their government either
hey guys lets be humble !! dont be furious !! most of us r complaining all da time....Give us a break lets be patient....@Shaami specifically
@Tahir Since when US has become epitome of democracy? What if they don't walkout from the Congress?
PTI you need to show more maturity than what has been done previously. Instead of walking out build alliance with other political parties. Argue constructively...
And with this walk-out stop acting like little children throwing tantrums.
@Ali S: walkout is to record protest and convey message of not accepting...better understand first parliamentary system...PML N had hundreds in last assembly
@Waqas: US A welfare state ?? Do you have any Knowledge.?. US is a Pure Capitalist state with some social Welfare programs but Welfare in general does not exist. You are mixing Welfare systems of Northern Europe with America and they are thousands of miles apart. Kindly study and then comment here.
As a PTI voter, I request PTI to stop this crybaby game they've been playing ever since the elections. Whenever you don't get things your way, sit down, negotiate and come to the most reasonable compromise - that's how politics work. Such actions are immature and useless.
@Tahir: The US has a welfare system, they are not a 3rd world country and they control the world. Only the poor will walk out
What's with with this walkout business? Can't you sit and argue. Walking out is a ridiculous, petulant and childish thing to do. Ever heard of a member of the US Congress "staging" a walkout?
