Sworn in: Achakzai takes oath as CM Balochistan

QUETTA: Muhammad Khan Achakzai was sworn in as Balochistan Governor during a ceremony held at the Governor’s House here on Thursday.

Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Justice Qazi Faiz Esa administered the oath. Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch expressing his happiness over the appointment said that the demand of PkMAP and the Pukhtun community were finally met.

“It is a day of happiness for both Balochs and Pashtuns celebrating this occasion together”, he said. Dr Malik added that the appointment will add to the Baloch and Pashtun unity. Speaker Balochistan Assembly Jan Jamali, newly elected MPAs, key politicians, and other officials were also present on the occasion.
