Suspect in FIA prosecutor murder case arrested
The suspect had been admitted to the Quaid-e-Azam hospital. His companion fled soon after.
A suspect in the murder of FIA prosecutor Chaudhry Zulfiqar Ali was arrested on Thursday night, the Express News reported.
Police has taken the suspect, Abdullah, into the custody on Thursday after detaining him on Wednesday.
The suspect had reportedly been injured when the prosecutor's guards reacted to firing by the attackers. The suspect had been admitted to the Quad-e-Azam hospital, and his companion fled soon after.
During questioning Abdullah allegedly admitted that he was involved in the attack on the FIA prosecutor. Police said they are further interrogating him and trying to nab his accomplice.
Chauhdry Zulfiqar was murdered on the May 3, 2013 in sector G-9, Islamabad. He was the FIA's main prosecutor on Benazir assassination case and the Mumbai attack case.
