PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led provincial government will establish one medical college in each district, as well as form the much-awaited health policy for the province, said Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly Deputy Speaker Imtiaz Shahid. Shahid stated this while addressing a convention of the Provincial Doctors Association (PDA) at Lady Reading Hospital. He said the PTI will work for the improvement of education and health and steps will be taken to strengthen these institutions. “In government-run hospitals, both patients and doctors are suffering alike because there is no proper planning to address their problems. Our government’s first step will be to form a comprehensive health policy to achieve all its goals. Patients will get quality health services,” the deputy speaker said. The deputy speaker went on to say that steps will be taken to provide security to the doctors’ community who will also get a better service structure.
