Respite from heat: Karachi gets its share of rain

Rain on Thursday in parts of Karachi relieved the city from the prolonged heat spell, Express News reported.
Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had anticipated light and moderate rainfall with gusty winds in most cities and towns of Upper Sindh during the next 24 hours.
However, the pre-monsoon currents from Arabian Sea, approaching the rest of the country, also soaked Karachi today.

PMD Director-General Arif Mehmood while speaking to The Express Tribune had said that the pre-monsoon rains, which had begun in Lahore, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and Islamabad in second week of June, would continue till around June 16.
