Jhoolay Laal: Special trains sought for urs

JLC has requested the court to issue directions to the respondents to arrange special trains.

LAHORE:
Justice Ayesha Malik issued a notice to the ministry of railways on a petition by Jhoolay Laal Counsel (JLC), demanding the facility to travel by train to the urs of the Shahbaz Qalandar. Justice Malik sought a written reply from Pakistan Railways (PR) by June 20. The petition says that thousands of devotees wish to travel by special trains for 28, making it important that seats are reserved in advance. However, it says PR authorities have refused advanced booking citing a shortage of trains. The urs starts on July 31 and ends on August 2. JLC has requested the court to issue directions to the respondents to arrange special trains.
