Court orders: KMC asked to submit revenue details
Sindh High Court issues directive.
KARACHI:
The Sindh High Court directed the Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) to furnish the details of revenue made by the civic body from allowing political parties to use KMC property for election-related advertisement.
The details are being sought after the employees union took the KMC and Sindh government to court for failing to pay salary and pension to its employees for the last several months on the pretext of financial crunch. Accepting a request by KMC officials, the court granted them time till June 17 to do the same.
