A six year old child drowned while swimming in a river near Muslim Town, Lahore on Monday, Express News reported.
The child has not been identified yet and efforts are being made to recover the child's body.
People in various cities have resorted to swimming in rivers and lakes to beat the heat as temperatures rise.
Earlier, this week three children drowned in a small lake in Hyderabad. None of them were above the age of 10 and belonged to the same family.
