Fresh start: Minor released after being ‘reformed’
Muhammad Jamil, 10, reached home after spending three months at a reformatory center.
PESHAWAR:
The Peshawar High Court (PHC) was informed Muhammad Jamil, 10, reached home after spending three months at a reformatory center in Haila Training Centre, Tank.
Jamil’s relatives filed a habeas corpus petition at the PHC, seeking his recovery after he was allegedly taken by law enforcement agencies and shifted to unknown locations. Jamil was reportedly picked up after his father – an alleged associate of militants in Orakzai Agency – fled to Dubai.
Attorney for FATA Secretariat Iqbal Durrani told the court Jamil was released on Wednesday after he was ‘reformed’.
