‘Honour’ Crime: Mother of six murdered
Doctors at the tehsil headquarters hospital have confirmed that the woman was hanged.
BAHAWALPUR:
A mother of six was murdered by her brother on Wednesday for allegedly having an illicit relationship with a man in the neighbourhood. Police said Sajjad Hussain, a resident of Chak 144-P in Tiba region of Bahawalpur and the brother of the victim, fled the scene after killing his widowed sister. According to the investigation officer Khalid Mehmood, the complaint had been registered by the victim’s father Muhammad Hussain. Police has sent the body for a post-mortem examination.
