Sentenced: TTP men get life for killing cops

Anti Terrorism Court-I Judge Muhammad Tanveer Akbar awarded life imprisonment on two counts to two accused, involved in murder of two constables, and imposed fine of Rs500,000 to each.
The two militants of Tehreek Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were charged for killing police constables Naveed Akhtar and Abdul Malik in an attempt to kill Justice Jehangir Arshad last year.
The accused Muhammad Asif and Naveed Arshad were arrested from Multan during special operation of police in coordination with intelligence agencies last year.
The militants were previously members of Lashkare Jhangvi.
