Pakistan tennis ace Aisamul Haq Qureshi and his Zimbabwe partner Cara Black crashed out of the French Open mixed doubles event, going down in the semi-final against Kristina Mladenovic of France and Canadian Daniel Nestor 7-5, 6-4.
After an impressive run by the unseeded pair that included a quarter-final win over Russia’s Nadia Petrova and Juan Sebastian Cabal of Colombia, Aisam and Black committed four double faults and four unforced errors in the semi-final to lose the plot.
Aisam-Cara had earlier defeated Denmark’s Frederik Neilson and his partmer Su-Wei Hsieh of Chinese Taipei 6-4, 6-0 in their second round match.
