KARACHI: The residents of Kot Ghulam Muhammad Town of Umerkot held a protest outside the press club against the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company’s (Hesco) prolonged power cuts.

The town and surrounding areas experience 16 to 19 hours of unannounced load-shedding every day.

Moreover, the power supply shuts down for hours with an excuse of ‘fault in the system’.

The demonstrators shouted slogans against Hesco officials, alleging them for supplying electricity to influential people whose electricity meters do not work and they are not billed.

They demanded a Federal Investigation Agency team to be sent for further probe.
