The appointment of Farooqui as federal ombudsman was called unconstitutional by Transparency International Pakistan (TIP) chief Adil Gilani who had written to Chief Justice Chaudhry requesting him to take suo motu notice over the appointment.
Gilani said the caretaker government regularized the appointment of Farooqui on May 27 without mandate, as he was appointed by Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in December last year.
Chief Justice Chaudhry will preside over a three-member bench hearing to decide on the matter. Meanwhile, the National Assembly session has been suspended till June 5.

What about ZARDARI his appointment ?
@Mirza: Lay it off on PCO Judges!!! Applaud someone doing good and going in the right direction. You were least critical of the PPP who brought us to our knees. I thought the election would change you, but like the Leopard you can't change your spots.
Is Salman Farooki still in Pakistan ????????????
Dear Chief Sahib, it is too much to serve...........................no suo motu................no hearing of stay cases...................well done................judicial politics.......................
When it comes to even single appointment the PCO CJ takes notice and starts hearing. However, against Mush they need all the case prepared even in the judge's detention case. The judiciary wants witnesses and evidence that they were thrown in detention with their families as if it was a secret and they are doubtful. For half a decade the judges did not take any "notice, suo motu or action" on any case against Mush. Perhaps for judges multiple acts of high treason, murders, and judge's detention are not big crimes as the executive appointments by an elected govt.
What does Nawaz sharif wants is very important. Adil Gilani represents PMLN
