Expert opinion : Cracks appear in underpass road
The Rs1.3 billion underpass was scheduled to open on December 31, 2012 but is still incomplete.

The underpass road at Abdullahpur has developed cracks as a result of use of substandard materials in its construction, an inspection team visiting the site on Friday has said. The engineers said, “The cracked surface needs to be reconstructed. Else, the entire strip could get damaged.” Communications and Works Secretary Muhammad Abid Javaid also visited the underpass on Friday. He told the contractors to focus on the underpass’s durability. The Rs1.3 billion underpass was scheduled to open on December 31, 2012 but is still incomplete. It was opened for light traffic, 15 days ago.
