Get the look: Colour block pretty

Multi-talented Parineeti Chopra, who made her debut in Ishaqzaade, was glowing at the launch of an Indian telco’s chat messenger in Mumbai.

We love the extra pounds she has shed, which has transformed her into a diva! Here is a breakdown of how she dressed for the event:

Hair

We love Parineeti’s voluminous hair. The messy ponytail with that big hump on the top is absolutely bang-on-trend. To get the same look, blow-dry your hair after a shower. Then tie it up in a ponytail and with the help of a tail comb, lift some strands to give volume to the crown.

Accessories

Less is more for this starlet, but we would have loved to see some more accessorising to add zing to this ensemble. A skinny belt matching with her shoes would have looked amazing. However, we are in love with her trendy long gold chain with a dragonfly pendant (under Rs1,000 from Sentiments) and this big dial watch (Rs8,000 and above at Swatch).

Outfit

Keeping it summery, yet chic, Parineeti has paired this plain white chiffon blouse with this twee emerald green mini skirt — it’s oh-so-summery! Buy a similar shirt from Monsoon (Rs5,000) or check out the racks at Crossroads (Rs1,800) and pair it with a range of coloured denims available in markets across town. You can also score cheaper yet good quality coloured denim from Zainab Market at a price of Rs1,000.

Make-up

Pretty much like her outfit, her make-up is simple too. Rub some tinted moisturiser from The Body Shop on your face for a refreshing glow. For a pink pout like Parineeti, go for Mac’s Pink Friday (Rs1,700) and rouge your cheeks with The Body Shop’s all-in-one ginger blusher (Rs1,800).

Shoes

We love her nude patent peep toes, which are very much en vogue this season. You can get a similar pair at WalkEaze (Rs2,500) or Charles & Keith (Rs6,000).
