Additional training: AIOU to help boost human resources

ISLAMABAD: The establishment of a human resource development centre is in the works at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) to provide career-oriented skills and job training facilities to its students and alumni.

At a meeting, AIOU’s senior officials on Saturday decided that the proposed centre will work as a separate directorate with a focus on the development of the country’s intellectual capital.

Various skill-development programmes will be offered through different mediums, such as distance programmes and E-learning, it was stated.
