Future Concerns: Inquiry record called in fraud case
An FIA representative told the court that a letter had been sent to Interpol for the arrest of Malik.
LAHORE:
The Lahore High Court on Friday sought investigation records of a billion-rupee fraud case against the owner of an immigration consultancy firm, Future Concerns, Asim Malik and his wife, Zubia Rubab Malik. The hearing was then adjourned till June 7. A joint investigation team had investigated the case. An FIA representative told the court that a letter had been sent to Interpol for their arrest, but they had not replied yet.
The court was told at the previous hearing that red warrants had been issued for Malik and his wife, to arrest them from Dubai. The petitioners’ counsel alleged that FIA was in cahoots with Malik and had not arrested Rubab even though she had been in the country before the elections.
