Extracurricular: Academic expo begins at University of Swat
A photo exhibition set up by the students of journalism and mass communication attracted a lot of visitors.

Students from various universities of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa exhibited their creative skills at a two-day academic expo which began at the University of Swat on Wednesday.
The expo titled ‘A Podium for All Universities’ Students Where Recognition Needs Knowledge, Skills, Strength and Courage’ showcased a variety of display stalls ranging from religion to science and culture to entertainment where students earned praise from their peers.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chancellor (VC) of Swat University Dr Jahanzeb Khan welcomed the guests and lauded the efforts of the students and faculty members who participated in the event.
University of Peshawar VC Dr Rasool Jan, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said in his address: “The academic expo provides an opportunity to all those who want to showcase their creative work. Furthermore, it helps students forge friendships and establish collaborations with other students they meet.”

Barkat Ali, a student at the journalism department, said: “We were assigned to take photographs on culture and heritage. It was a double benefit for us; we did practical activity for our course and enjoyed it.”
