Margalla Avenue project: CDA chief asks to expedite work

The nine-kilometre-long Margalla Avenue Project has been initiated at a cost of Rs 588 million.

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) has directed the Engineering Wing to expedite the pace of work on the Margalla Avenue Project. Chairman CDA, Syed Tahir Shahbaz, on Wednesday, directed the officials that the construction work should be carried out in line with international standards by utilising all available resources. He said that once the project is complete, it would not only provide an easy access to commuters from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) but also reduce traffic burden on the Kashmir Highway. The nine-kilometre-long Margalla Avenue Project, with culverts and two lanes of 12 feet on each side, has been initiated at a cost of Rs 588 million.
