Water-theft: KWSB shuts 6 illegal hydrants in Baldia

The equipment installed at the sites was confiscated by the officials.

KARACHI: Karachi Water and Sewerage Board officials, during their drive against illegal hydrants in the city, raided different parts of Baldia Town and Kattu Goth and disconnected six hydrants which were allegedly stealing water from the 33-inch main line.

The equipment installed at the sites was confiscated by the officials. The utility’s managing director said that the raids will continue until all the illegal hydrants operating in the area are shut down.
