Political representation: Christians demand leadership in PTI

The demand was made in a meeting attended by the minorities leaders of PTI.

PESHAWAR:
The Christian community has demanded the leadership of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) to give them representation in the provincial government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P). The demand was made in a meeting attended by the minorities leaders of PTI. The meeting reviewed the problems of minorities and priorities for their presentation before the upcoming provincial government. They also expressed confidence in the leadership of PTI chief Imran Khan and the provincial leadership of K-P. They said that minorities played a crucial role in the electoral success of PTI in Peshawar and other parts of the province. The meeting also reviewed the lack of representation of the Christian community in the PTI-led provincial government and decided that a delegation of the community would soon hold a meeting with the party chief to brief him about their apprehensions.
