Fresh start: ANP to reorganise youth wing
The move is meant to strengthen the party at a grass-roots level.
PESHAWAR:
The Awami National Party’s (ANP) youth wing ‘Nangialai Pakhtoon’ will be reorganised around the country. The move is meant to strengthen the party at a grass-roots level, former sports minister Syed Aqil Shah said on Monday.
ANP Chief Asfandyar Wali Khan announced the decision to reorganise the party’s youth wing after the ANP’s dismal performance in the May 11 elections.
Speaking at the Bacha Khan Markaz, Shah said the party’s president has directed Nangialai Pakhtoon coordinator Rasool Khan Salaar to recruit the youth and asked all provincial heads of the youth wing to send a progress report on the provincial, tehsil and union council levels to the central leadership.
Shah said the decision regarding the wing’s reorganisation would be taken after the final reports.
