Seeking Shelter: Man’s attempt to kidnap wife foiled

They said when he (the husband) dragged her out of the court, she started shouting for help.

GUJRANWALA: Security officials at the sessions court rescued a woman on Monday from being forcibly taken away by her husband, whom she had left a few days ago.

Police said the woman, who had left her husband’s house and had been living with some relatives, arrived at the court on Monday to seek court orders to be allowed to live at a shelter home. They said her husband and in-laws tried to take her away on her way to the courtroom.

They said when he (the husband) dragged her out of the court, she started shouting for help. Some policemen noticed them and rescued the woman. The man fled. The woman was eventually sent to the shelter home.
