Maiden session: K-P assembly to meet on May 29

K-P chief minister designate asks authorities to not block traffic outside the assembly building on the session day.

PESHAWAR:
The maiden session of the newly-elected Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly will be held on May 29, Express News reported on Monday.

An official notification has been issued for this purpose.

Political leaders, who have been elected to K-P seats on May 11, will take oath during the session.


K-P chief minister designate Pervaiz Khattak has asked authorities to not block traffic outside the assembly building on the session day.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) managed to win 35 seats out of 99, emerging as the party with most seats.

The Imran Khan-led party is set to form alliance with Jamaat-e-Islami and Qaumi Watan Party in the province. Khattak had said that all issues related to forming a coalition government, including assigning ministries, have been resolved.
