Neighbourhood conflicts : Prayer leader beaten up by rivals
Iqbal said one of his fingers was broken in the beating.

A pray leader was beaten up on Sunday allegedly by some men who he had had a dispute with, police said. Police said Qari Zafar Iqbal, a resident of Wayenwali and a prayer leader at Madni Masjid, filed a complaint against his neighbours Ali Muhammad Aarain and his sons Muhammad Boota and Mushtaq Aarain. He said he had had a dispute with Ali Muhammad Aarain and that he and his sons would talk against him. Iqbal said a few days ago, when he stopped them from defaming him, they misbehaved with him. On Sunday, he said, while he was on his way to get milk from a neighbourhood dera, the three men beat him up and fled. He said he managed to reach his home, from where his family took him to a hospital. He said one of his fingers was broken in the beating.
