The Abbasi Shaheed Hospital is in dire need of funds to continue providing medicines to the patients.

According to the hospital officials, they have already exhausted the zakat fund and food provided to the patients could be stopped any time now due to paucity of funds.
He said that patients were buying life-saving drugs from their own pocket as the hospital is unable to provide medicines, X-ray and other facilities to the deserving patients.
The patients also protested against the unavailability of medicines while the patients’ welfare has demanded action against the medical director.
