Crime: Taxi driver shot dead

The incident came to light when a local found the body in a Suzuki van in Thalla and informed the police.

RAWALPINDI: A cab driver was shot dead in Thalla on Chakbeli Khan Road on Monday. Police said that Muhammad Nazir, 60, was a private cab driver, who picked up a passenger on Sunday night and dropped him at his destination. The passenger got out of the car and shot the cab driver. The incident came to light when a local found the body in a Suzuki van in Thalla and informed the police, who reached the scene and shifted it to the hospital. A blind murder case has been registered on the application of Nazir’s son Muhammad Rashid, and further investigation is underway.
