LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has adjourned for one week a petition by Jamatud Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed against drone attacks on Pakistani soil. Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial adjourned the hearing on Tuesday as a lawyer appointed to assist the court, the amicus curie, was unavailable. He directed the amicus curie to appear at the next hearing. Saeed has asked the court to direct the federal government to disclose all “secret deals” with the United States as every citizen of Pakistan had a right to know about them. He also asked the court to declare that pre-emptive strikes by foreign countries were not permitted by international law.
