BAHAWALPUR: Police arrested a man for allegedly stabbing a boy on Tuesday over prank calls. The injured was taken to a hospital, where doctors treating him said that his condition was critical. Police said Tanveer Ahmad, a resident of Shahbazpur Road, had apparently been teasing Saifullah, a resident of Jatoi tehsil, over prank calls for several days. He said somehow Saifullah discovered that Ahmad was making the calls. On Tuesday, police said, he went to Ahmad’s house and reprimanded him. This led to a fight and Saifullah stabbed him with a knife. Some passers-by saw his attack the boy and caught him. The injured boy was taken to a hospital, where he was reported to be in critical condition. Saifullah was handed over to the police.
