Class IV employees: Sons of retired workers appointed at LRH

Twenty six people were appointed at the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) on the quota reserved for sons of retired class-IV employees for the first time since 1988.
LRH Chief Executive Prof Dr Arshad Javed announced the appointments on Tuesday at a seminar held at the hospital. Members of the K-P paramedic’s office bearers were also present.
Addressing the participants, the LRH chief executive said sons of former employees have a right to be recruited in the hospital on priority basis, but have been deprived since 1988.
Dr Javed said he felt the concern of class-IV employees over the violation of their right and in response appointed 26 sons of former lower grade employees who retired after 1988. Later, he distributed the appointment letters among the fresh recruits.
LRH Paramedics Association President Syed Roidad Shah appreciated the initiative taken by the hospital administration and thanked the chief executive for the appointments.
