The incoming government should first try to recover the huge amounts of unpaid electricity bills from industries in the country’s largest province. I am sure this will go a long way towards reducing the quantum of power outages in the country. Later, the Punjab government can tackle electricity theft, which is responsible to a great extent for the current power crisis.
