Seeking justice: Sunni Tehreek protests against member’s killing

Khan said the publication of hate literature against the Sunnis should be stopped.

Pakistan Sunni Tehreek on Sunday staged a protest demonstration in front of the Lahore Press Club against the killing of Ulema Board member Khurram Raza Qadri.


Speaking on the ocassion, Sunni Tehreek divisional president Maulana Mujahid Rasool Khan said the government had a responsibility to protect the citizens including the ulemas. He said it was sad that targeted killings were now taking place in the Punjab.


Khan said the publication of hate literature against the Sunnis should be stopped.

“The caretaker government has completely failed to combat terrorism…Qadri’s killers should be immediately arrested and punished,” he said.

Sunni Tehreek Lahore President Muhammad Tahir Qadri said those who supported terrorism did not want the country to prosper.

“The killers should be arrested. Else, the consequences would be dire,” he said.
