Better management: Traffic police seeks public cooperation
People from all sections are being approached to cooperate in the implementation of the plan.
KARACHI:
The Karachi traffic police made a plan on traffic management on Sunday. It is designed to address traffic jams, parking and also the welfare of cops working in the department.
Traffic DIG, Abdul Khaliq Shaikh, shared the details of a report with the Sindh IG Shahid Nadeem Baloch. People from all sections are being approached to cooperate in the implementation of the plan, said the enforcement officer.
“Idea is to minimise communication gap and restore public confidence,” said Sindh DIG traffic police. He stated that strict action would be taken against the cops who were found misusing their authority, committing negligence or indulging in corruption.
He also announced that only single parking would be allowed at all roads around shopping and business centres, while no-parking zones will be maintained. He also said that in the same manner, area police will make sure that no stalls are placed outside the shops.
