Workplace fire: Furniture workshop gutted
The owner said the losses would run into millions of rupees.

A furniture workshop was reduced to ashes on Sunday after a fire started due to an electric short circuit. Rescue officials said the fire at Abdus Sattar’s workshop in Hajiabad started at a storeroom on the first floor where foam cushions were stored. They said the fire started at around 1:30pm and quickly spread across the workshop. It was put out in three hours. They said since it was a Sunday, no worker had been present there. The owner said the losses would run into millions of rupees.
