TAXILA: On the third recount of polls in the PP-7 Rawalpindi 7 constituency, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Chaudhry Nisar Ali khan lost to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) candidate Muhammad Siddique Khan, reported Express News.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has not yet made the changes on their official website.
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan won a seat in the National Assembly from the NA-52 Rawalpindi 3 constituency.
The recount was done thrice after an appeal from PTI.
PTI chief Imran Khan on Wednesday presented his demands before the ECP and asked that they accept them within three days.
Khan said that they were demanding a recount in four constituencies, but the election commission should verify the votes with fingerprints.
The party had reservations over the results of 25 National Assembly seats.

Excellent. Now the punishment for the loser's party should be that 10 seats of his party should be nullified and open to re-polling. Unless we don't have strong dis-incentives to cheat, or strong incentives not to cheat, these people won't stop cheating!

I am sure Nawaz Sharif and also other parties were involved in the Rigging, that is why he declared his victory before the actual results were out. Imran Khan will have to compromise now - some extra seats. How far he can fight with these enemies of nation. They should again start the Election in presence of media and Rangers/Army.

Yes, votes must be recounted in all disputed constituencies. It's easy (though time consuming) to match thumb prints on ballot papers with those in the NADRA database and recount valid votes. I think you will find very different results in almost all Karachi constituencies. This will settle all disputes and end all protests. People need to know that these elections were fair.

@aaaa sorry to bust your bubble but he won by 8,945 and not 40,000 as you claim and in a constituency with 3,260,28 registered votes its pretty much the same situation.
Let the winning candidates form governments on these results but verify every thumb impression with Nadara and if fraudulent votes are found hold that candidate and ECP staff responsible with severe punishment and heavy fine so in future nobody will attempt this.
Chaudhry Nisar is hero among the masses of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. No matter Ch sb lose one seat with few hundred votes. He win NA seats with huge margin and got more than hundred thousand votes. He is one of the among those political leader never lose seat. he is hero with simple and clean life. We love and respect you.

Every one who says Chaudhry Nisar has been thrown out has not read the news correctly. HE still has the NA seat. HE just lost the provincial assembly seat in recount. Also this is a vote recount. From a victory margin of 300 he has gone to a loss of 700 - that does not sound like rigging but error correction.
By the way I am an Indian and do not have any favotite party in the mix. Just reading news and interpreting it accurately.

That will only be possible if one of Sharif brothers become president and other a Prime minister otherwise these old parties are not democratic their leaders are dictators in their own parties who will never let any one else lead their parties when they are around neither will they let them become Prime ministers. Just look at PML(N) the whole family and extended family is on top positions in party and when in govt they all get ministries.
This reveals everything, if Ch.Nisar win was fake then what about other PMLN win on other seats in Punjab. This is a complete fiasco of ECP and the mandate was stolen through complete and organized rigging.
NOW what about the polling stations where more than 100%, 200%, 350% turnout on some polling stations; that GHOST voting, is ECP closing eyes over that???
What if someone can't count properly? What if someone cheats when counting, to favour a candidate. What checks were put in place by the ECP? Were these polling agents made to work under oath, to do their job honestly?
I think these are some questions which need answers.

This was on the card once Jr. Sharif decided to keep CM position within the family, for which Nisar was promised before election. The same way PMLN first tried Ayaz Amir from Chakwal to keep him out of election by using EC, but due to media pressure could not succeed, then they had to deny him ticket. Friends in politics everything is legal.

Since responsibility lies with ROs, and they can be sent to jail for all the wrongdoings, they realized it and rectifying it. In other words, in economic terms, market forces will balance rigging and non-rigging polling stations till we reach the point of equilibrium.
I am happy with the verdict of ECP for the recount votes of constituency 7 and give respect to the mandate of constituency 7 People. This is historical Victory over the PML-N .

this result shows the credibility of general elections. PML-N will be happy as Nisar was insisting for CM Punjab post as per media reports. Now he is out and Shahbaz will feel ease.

In the light of this discovery, the ECP should formulate a system where each and every constituency result is verified thru thumb print. IK says it will take two days for one constituency. So, formation of the govt should go ahead, but this verification system needs to run in the background, automatically nullifying the previous result and giving the seat to the deserving candidate who had actually won. This system should be started with National Assembly seats, and once the technicalities are sorted out, should be applied to the entire electorate.

If ECP wants people to respect election system and wants people to turn up again next time, it should conduct and complete audit of all the constituencies with NADRA thumbprint verification. Put riggers in jail and conduct re-election where necessary.

Lets hold our horses for a bit. Recounting doesn't imply rigging. It simply means that an error in counting was made and that has been rectified. I am afraid the real issue of rigging by matching thumbprints would go unnoticed in this clamor for recounting in other constituencies as well.

this news will give a boost to all the people who believed that they were deceived and in some cases deprived of their fundamental right to cast their vote, especially the protestors. However, I would still endorse finger print checking over re-counting. Authorities should also mention the margin with with counting went wrong, that would tell exactly the volume of votes that were rigged.
Time to recount votes on every seat! Nadra should verify thumb prints!

Before PTI wallahs arrive to tell everybody we-told-you-so, Nisar initially won this seat by a margin of 311 votes. As opposed to, say, NA 125 where Saad Rafique won by around 40,000 votes.
