Security Concerns: Sindh govt shies away from re-elections
The provincial government cited the worsening law and order in the constituency as the reason.
KARACHI:
In a late development on Thursday early morning, the Sindh government has said it cannot hold the re-elections in 43 polling stations of the NA-250 constituency in Karachi scheduled for May 19.
In a letter written to the ECP, the provincial government cited the worsening law and order in the constituency as the reason. “Different political parties have diverse versions on this issue. We suggest organising an all parties’ conference to evolve consensus on this issue,” the letter said.
