Pakistan Army dominated the ninth Korean Ambassador National Taekwondo Championship, clinching three gold medals in four Khyorugi women’s categories in Islamabad. Army’s Najia Rossolo came first in the heavy-weight category, defeating Punjab’s Sughra Naseem. Sindh’s Muneeza Fatima came third.
Army’s Asia Batool won the gold medal in the middle-weight class, beating Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) Raheela Bano. Radika Jan took the gold medal for Army in the light-weight category, defeating Wapda’s Ghulam Fatima. Meanwhile, Pakistan Navy’s Samaira managed to bag a gold medal in the welter-weight class, defeating Sindh’s Kanwal Muhammad.
