Karachi head of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan arrested: Police
Ameer served jail time in connection with a murder case previously.

The Karachi head of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) known as Ameer Sahab was arrested in Kemari, reported Express News on Tuesday.
Weapons, including four hand grenades and several bullets were seized from Ameer's custody.
According to police officials, the TTP Karachi head has served jail time in connection with a murder case previously.
The Taliban have killed more than 120 people in election-related violence since April.
A bomb attack on the office of the Awami National Party (ANP) in the commercial capital, Karachi, on the day of the elections killed 11 people and wounded about 40.
The group issued threats to political parties considered secular in an effort to deter them from contesting polls which are considered un-Islamic by the group.
