Books worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were burned in a fire on Monday.
Rescue officials said the fire at the Naveed Book Depot in Rehman Plaza near railway crossing got started by an electric short circuit. It soon spread to two adjacent book shops. It took fire fighters two hours to put it out. No one was injured in the incident.
