KARACHI:
Areas of NA-249 appear to be clearly divided between two political parties, The Express Tribune correspondent Hafeez Tunio has reported.
No political agent of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is present at polling stations in the Cheel Chowk area. Similarly, there is no Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) political agent at polling stations in the Kharadar area.
The MQM’s Farooq Sattar is contesting from this constituency.
There are reports that voter turnout has been low so far. Officials at the polling stations keep claiming that they have run out of stationery.
