KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) has issued orders restraining the Tando Adam police from arresting a free-will couple who had been booked in a case of kidnapping. Nadia and her husband, Ashiq Ali, got married on May 2 at a local court. The petitioner, Nadia, submitted that her family was not happy with the marriage and were harassing her husband and his family. She alleged that they had registered a false FIR of her kidnapping against her husband and his family members at the Tando Adam police station. The division bench, headed by Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, directed the SHO Tando Adam police to release any person arrested as per the FIR. The case was adjourned until May 22.
