Rescue operations: ‘42,816 people saved’

Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer said over 600 families were affected by road crashes daily in the province.

Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) on Sunday claimed to have rescued 42,816 people in the province in April.


Rescue 1122 said they had responded to emergency calls for 15,317 road accidents, 23,502 medical emergencies, 1,256 fire incidents, 53 incidents of building collapse, 1777 crime, 76 drowning incidents, 179 special rescue operations and two explosions. Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer said over 600 families were affected by road crashes daily in the province. He said on average 500 accidents were reported daily.
