Rally Preparations: Traffic plan announced ahead of PTI, PML-N rallies

PTI and PML-N rallies are to be held at Dhobi Ghat Ground Faisalabad on May 5 and May 6 respectively.

The city traffic police have announced a traffic plan in view of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) rallies to be held at Dhobi Ghat Ground here on May 5 and May 6 respectively.


Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Sardar Muhammad Asif Khan announced the plan at a meeting on Saturday.  He said the Kotwali Road from Chiniot Bazaar Chowk to Sabina (Babar) Cinema and from Kothi Tahir Shah Chowk to Jhang Bazaar Chowk will remain closed from 12pm till the end of the rallies on Monday.

Parking facilities will be provided to rally participants on Eid Gah Road, Dijkot Road, from the police petrol pump to Nisar Akbar Chowk and the GC University ground.

He said parking on the road from Kotwali Chowk to Imam Bargah Chowk was strictly forbidden. The transporters could use Rajbah Road to Babar Cinema Chowk as Jhang Road would be picketed. Aminpur Bypass Road would also be picketed and traffic would be diverted from Jail Road towards the Jinnah Colony Gate Chowk.
