Chitral Seat: Parties step up campaigns
11 candidates are in run for this important constituency.
CHITRAL:
With a little over a week left for the polls, aspirants from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) have accelerated their election campaigns to win the lone Chitral constituency of NA-32.
Following the disqualification of the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) chief, General (retd) Pervez Musharraf, 11 candidates are in run for this important constituency and all the political parties have fielded potential stalwarts to conquer it on May 11.
Political observers said the real electoral battle would be between PTI’s Abdul Latif Afridi, JI’s candidate, Abdul Akbar Chitrali, Muhammad Yunis of PML-N and Hakeem Khan of PPPP.
