Shahzeb khan murder case: ‘Talpurs were at home when it happened’

Siraj and brother Sajjad Talpur were studying at home and are falsely implicated in murder case, father told court.

KARACHI:
Siraj Talpur and his brother Sajjad Talpur were studying at home and have been falsely implicated in Shahzeb murder case, their father told a court on Thursday.

Nawab Imdad Ali Talpur appeared before Judge Ghulam Mustafa Memon of ATC-III, to record his statement.

His sons have been accused of killing 20-year-old Shahzeb in Defence Housing Authority on December 24 last year.

The public prosecutor for the state, Abdul Maroof, asked Ali whether he had informed the police or court that his sons were at home when the alleged shooting took place.

Ali responded by saying he didn’t inform the court but had informed the police who rejected his application. The public prosecutor then asked Ali if his sons had any enmity with Shahzeb. Ali said that there wasn’t.

The defence counsel will present more witnesses in suspects’ defence in next the hearing. The case will be resumed today.
