As Indian spy Sarabjit Singh passed away at Jinnah Hospital in Lahore early Thursday morning, Twitter ran abuzz with condemnations and consolations from both sides of the border.

'Sarabjit Singh' almost immediately started trending in Mumbai as users took to Twitter to express their reactions to the news. Some compared Sarabjit's treatment to that of Ajmal Kasab, the sole surviving gunman from the 2008 Mumbai attacks, who was hanged last year in India. Others took their respective governments to task for not handling the situation in a tactful manner.

Some Pakistanis, while recounting his terrorist acts, said that he passed away before justice could be served.
