Attack on wedding party: Family threatens to form militia

“How did the armed men cross check posts to enter the area and then escape so easily?” asked Muhammad.

LOWER DIR:
Family members of five people who were killed on their way to a wedding in Jandol Samarbagh have threatened to form a militia if the murderers are not apprehended within three days. While addressing a news conference on Wednesday, Qazi Ihsanul Haq and Taj Muhammad Khan said a three-year-old and three women, including the bride, were killed when armed persons from Bajaur opened fire at their vehicle on April 28. They demanded the chief justice take suo motu notice of the incident and order police to arrest the accused. Haq claimed the family had no enemies. “The accused were given shelter by Malik Sher Bahadur Khan of Bajaur,” he alleged. “How did the armed men cross check posts to enter the area and then escape so easily?” asked Muhammad. He added that the incident occurred only half a kilometer away from the Samarbagh police station.
